چکیده

A field investigation was conducted at Agronomy research farm A. S. (P.G) College, Lakhaoti, Bulandshahr during rabi seasons of 2006 and 2007. The treatments consisted combination four cropping systems viz. chickpea sole (M1), linseed (M2), chickpea+ 2:1 ratio (M3) pigeonpea + 4:2 (M4) in main plots; two irrigations vegetative stages (30-40 days) flowering stage (70-75 (S1) one irrigation (S2) sub plots three levels phosphorous control (L1), 30 kg P2O5/ha (L2) 60 (L3) sub-sub split design replicated thrice the season. variety neelam were used soil experimental site low organic carbon (0.47 0.48 kg/ha) total nitrogen (154.0 155.1 kg/ha). It available phosphorus (9.2 9.24 medium potassium (203.0 203.6 sandy loam texture having alkaline reaction (pH 7.5). weather both years experiment by large normal devoid any extreme conditions. net return found to be maximum under chickpea: row with P2O5/ha. Genetic Basis of Variation in Linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) Cultivars

373 Abstract: This investigation was conducted at the University of wales in 1991-1994. The work described in this paper concerned with the genetic basis of variation in important characters of linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) A 8x8 full diallel cross including reciprocals was carried out using the cultivars Linda, Lidgate, Cristal, Antares, Barbara, Blue-Chip, Norman and McGregor and eight cha...

Environmental effects on linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) yield and growth of flax at different stand densities

The effect of environmental factors and stand density on linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) yield was investigated by examining yield components and development rates from 4 years of field experiments carried out at Viterbo, Central Italy, in which different seed rates were tested. Spring sowings were carried out using the linseed cultivar ‘Mikael’. Growth analysis using the functional approach a...

Genomic regions underlying agronomic traits in linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) as revealed by association mapping‡

The extreme climate of the Canadian Prairies poses a major challenge to improve yield. Although it is possible to breed for yield per se, focusing on yield-related traits could be advantageous because of their simpler genetic architecture. The Canadian flax core collection of 390 accessions was genotyped with 464 simple sequence repeat markers, and phenotypic data for nine agronomic traits incl...

Effect of L. usitatissimum (Flaxseed/Linseed) Fixed Oil against Distinct Phases of Inflammation

The present investigation summarizes the effect of Linum usitatissimum fixed oil against different phases of acute inflammatory reaction, namely, protein exudation, peritoneal capillary permeability, and leukocyte migration. The fixed oil exhibited dose-dependent inhibition of protein exudation vascular permeability, comparable to standard aspirin. The oil also inhibited the leukocyte migration...

Anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activities of Linum usitatissimum L. (flaxseed/linseed) fixed oil.

The fixed oil of L. usitatissimum (flaxseed/linseed) inhibited PGE2-, leukotriene-, histamine- and bradykinin-induced inflammation. The oil also inhibited arachidonic acid-induced inflammation, suggesting its capacity to inhibit both cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase pathways of arachidonate metabolism. In tail immersion model, the oil raised the pain threshold to a lesser extent than morphine bu...
